What should I do if there is noise from a permanent magnet variable frequency air compressor?

The control of noise in permanent magnet variable frequency air compressors mainly adopts three aspects: mufflers, soundproof tunnels, and sound insulation technology:

1. Install the muffler for the air compressor

The main sources of noise are the intake and exhaust ports, and suitable intake and exhaust mufflers should be selected. The frequency spectrum of the intake noise of the air compressor exhibits low-frequency characteristics, and the intake muffler should use a resistant structure or an impedance composite structure with resistance as the main component. The exhaust pressure of the air compressor is high and the airflow velocity is high, so a small hole muffler should be used at the exhaust port of the air compressor.

2. Set up a soundproof tunnel for the air compressor

An underground or semi underground tunnel with sound-absorbing walls made of bricks. Connect the intake pipe of the air compressor to the soundproof tunnel, allowing air to enter the compressor through the soundproof tunnel. The use of soundproof tunnels can greatly reduce the intake noise of air compressors and have a longer service life than general mufflers.

3. Establish a soundproof enclosure

After installing mufflers or setting up soundproof tunnels at the inlet and outlet of permanent magnet variable frequency air compressors, the airflow noise can be reduced to below 80db (a), but the mechanical and electrical noise of the air compressor

The machine noise is still high, so a soundproof cover should be installed on the air compressor unit.
